How Ohmega Becomes Cost Effective | Quantic Ohmega Ticer |

The use of OhmegaPly® provides both design and cost benefits. A number of cost savings are realized by eliminating discrete resistors, including the cost of the discrete resistors and their accompanying direct and overhead costs of inventory, assembly and rework. These costs will vary from customer to customer. The greater the resistor density, the greater the cost savings.

For existing designs which simply replace the discrete resistors with an OhmegaPly® solution the cost benefits begin at resistor densities of approximately 5 to 6 resistors per square inch. These savings are further compounded when an OhmegaPly® solution creates opportunity for additional board design enhancements. These board design enhancements may include reducing board size, reducing layer count and or eliminating components from the bottom side of the board making a single sided SMT board possible.
